There are now 2 ways that you can link a parent to a child in Capture. On this article we are going to go through how to add a parent by email.

Creating a parent by adding their email to a child will register their account for them. They will then get sent an email to create a password for their account.

TIP: Before adding your parents, let them know you are adding them to Capture and look out for the email in their inbox and junk.

Step One

First, Login with the account that has the administration privileges.

You will see the following screen.

Step Two

Click on the blue Children icon.

You will then see the list of children at the setting.

Step Three

You can enter the name for a child in the search box or find them in the list below.

To add a parent click on the edit button 

Scroll down to the bottom of the page with the child’s details on and you will see a section on parents.

Step Four

To add a new parent click on the Add button.

This will give you the option to add the email address of the parent.

If the parent is already linked to another sibling in your setting you will get the following message:

If you select YES it will then send an email to the parent with details on how to complete the link.

If the parent is a new parent it will ask you to complete the following details.

Once you have entered these details it will then send the parent details on how to register with Capture and start receiving information on their child’s progress at your setting.
